MINI LEGO PANDA

Finally got around to building this birthday present, I should really be doing reading for uni but this is way more fun! I think he's adorable! Who wouldn't want a mini-lego panda? I intend to use him as a paper weight, although he isn't that heavy, but I am not expecting too many breezes in my room so I am sure he will be able to cope!

H@sta Magazine

My work is in this years edition of H@sta, the student magazine for Art History in St Andrews and I am so pleased! The Magazine looks great, really professional with some fascinating articles. I was even more pleased as I didn't realise my work was in it and was simply flicking through and squealed (something along the lines of 'that's me!'). I had sent the photos off but not heard back so completely forgot, it made a lovely surprise! I am now trying to get my hands on a few more copies- would love to send them to family and friends! I will definitely be sending some work in for next years edition, perhaps even try and write an article as well.

COMING TO A SHOP NEAR YOU...

... if you live in Birmingham! These bits and pieces (2 small framed works, 5 notepads and 20 cards) are soon going to be winging their way down to LauraLovesBoutique shop, which will be opening in Birmingham I think on 6th October. I will keep you posted in the date and address so if you are in the area you can head along and check it out!

IT'S A BIRDIE

Please pop along to the 'It's a Birdie' exhibition on at the moment in Lytham Booths (the Fylde Gallery is above the Booths store). You can kill two birds with one stone- do your food shopping and look at artwork! What more could you want!? The opening night was last night and the exhibition looked great! It's a mixture of mature artist and professional artist, aspiring young artist, students, as well as secondary school and primary school students work. The exhibition is on from 6th September (today) until 28th September so do head along and I really hope you enjoy it!
Some close-ups of the pieces at home. All of the stamps (or most of them) should, if you look closely be of birds. I also rather like the birdies on pins- they are printed onto acetate then pinned into the canvas. They seem to work really well, they make the work less flat (technical terms here) and seem to bring it to life a bit more. Any thoughts please comment!

HAPPY HANNAH

Here are a few photos of me at the Fylde Festival, just before we began to pack up! I have a great weekend  and it was a lovely way to finish all my gallivanting to craft fairs! Keep an eye out for me next year! Especially in January and at Easter and obviously over summer! I actually talked myself hoarse over the weekend (thank you to everyone who came to chat!) and have not voice at all today (much to the delight of my family). Don't panic this will be not my final post of the year, but this was my last fair around the North West, I maybe popping up in St Andrews doing a few fairs (as I am at uni there) so keep your eyes peeled!

FYLDE FOLK FESTIVAL

Today (and tomorrow) I am at my final fair of the summer! I have been/ will be in the sports centre at Fleetwood as part of the Fylde Folk Festival. Hope you can make it down- we are right next to the beach so you could always bring along a picnic!
