This is a piece I have been working on with a lovely lady called Laura Green aka theladylovestodoodle, it is her drawing of the cow, which was printed onto acetate. I then worked on the background and then sewed the picture over the top. This is definitely something I would like to look at developing, the acetate allows the lace and layers behind to be faintly seen. I think this process is really effective and worth looking into!

BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND!
Finally managed to upload these photos from over the weekend! They are of the Pop-Up Shop in Blackpool- thank you to everyone who came along! It was a great group of people and I had a fabulous Saturday and Sunday there- shame about the weather on Saturday though! Next lot are of the Bank Holiday Monday, as I was in Garstang for a craft fair but also demonstrating how I create my work. Again, thank you to everyone who braved the weather to come out! I had another lovely day there. My final fair of the summer is this coming weekend, I am at Fylde Folk Festival in Fleetwood, at the Marine Hall, so if you have nothing planned please come along! It's right next to the beach so you could even bring a picnic along!

MAGICAL MUSHROOMS
I have been working on some new imagery, so that my cards and work do not become too repetitive. I have had a try at a few owls and parrots and ducks (a wide variety of birds!) and seagulls but also some mushrooms! Red toadstools! They look great and are great fun to sew! There is just something about little red mushrooms that everyone seems to love. Two of these are cards and one is a notebook.

FRAMED WORK
Here are a few pieces I have been working on, a few small pieces that I have framed in black as it really helps to pick out the detail! All will be available to purchase at my next craft fair, which is on Saturday at Garstang Arts Centre. Two of the pieces are of London (Houses of Parliament and the flags up the Mall) and two are more local, Blackpool North Pier and Fleetwood beach. They were fun to make as always! The North Pier and Mall are my favourites- any thoughts?

IN PROGRESS
I realised earlier today that I usually only post photos of my finished works, so here are a few I am working on that are 'in progress'. I start by layering up paper, then stamps, then fabric and lace, then sew the photo over the top and then finally add the buttons. Some of the ones that aren't on canvas (just on card) are to go into black frames, which really seem to set off the sewing and details. Anyway, here are some pictures!
