A2 PROJECT TIME

Hello! We are now considering our projects for A2! So far I am considering Body Image/Gluttony, Decay and Changing Attitudes of Society and family Memories/ Childhood. I think the final option would be especially interesting for me as so many of my memories are shared with my sisters, as I'm a triplet. It might be quite interesting to use family photos, as we all look so similar, I could look at the idea that all childhoods are in fact the same and we are unified by nostalgia and the desire to relive our idyllic childhoods.

While looking for artists relating to childhood (and generally pretty artists) I cam across Anita Jeram, an absolutely gorgeous childrens illustrator.

She holds special significance for me as my Godmother gave me 'Guess How much I love You'. She is just one of many artists I could look at.Childhood is a good theme, there's plenty of room for development and experimenting. But this is something I really need to consider, I could specialize within childhood, for example. I could consider childhood memories, games, toys, childhood stories and so on.

PAGES UPDATE

More photos added to WW2 project page- this is definitely my favourite project (I think) mainly because sewing into things and using pin and threads (inspired by Debbie Smyth) is so much fun! I will eventually write a little about each piece and it's inspiration and my thinking behind it but just enjoy the pictures for now! I've also added some more photos to my 'Photos' page- feels free to comment, I'd love feedback!
