LOUISE KIRBY WORKSHOP

Long time since my last post I know! And this one is art/sewing related. Last week I took the morning off from revision (as am right in the middle of exams unfortunately) to got to a sewing workshop run by a local artist, Louise Kirby from Dundee at St Andrews Museum, which was in aid of raising money for the Botanic Gardens (I think). I had a lovely morning and had a go at sewing with wool, which is something I had never done before. Obviously you need a bigger needle, but it is quite satisfying. The wool sort of pops up (think the images display this best). The bag will eventually be covered in daisies, at the moment they just look like fireworks! Unfortunately (or fortunately, with regards revision and my exams) I don't have these colours of wool with me, but I suspect mum does at home, so this will be a project to finish over summer! Anyway, here are a few pictures! Enjoy.
