Been doing my bit for the Olympics and supporting Team GB by making some cupcakes. I haven't got any tickets for the games (nor am I going to go down to London) but still want to support our team! perhaps not the most healthy or sporty way to support them but they do look great! I bought a new metal Tala cake icer the other day and this was the first time I had a go with it. It was easy to use and great fun! Hope you are enjoying the Olympics as well.

BUNTING AND FLOWERS
Last weekend I went to a wedding where they had made their own bunting and it looked fab! So I was very cheeky and asked to have some of the triangles they had left over to make my own bunting and here we are! They were sick of the sight of these triangles by the wedding day! I intend to decorate my room at uni next year with this bunting, however for the moment it is wrapped around my bed. I have also had a go at making a poppy and a daisy out of fabric- the instructions for which care in a book called Fabric Paper Party, which I got from the work for 99p, a bargain. The daisy was very easy to do, but the poppy not so easy at all. Very hard to get the length of fabric wound up in the centre, but I am sure I can get making plenty of daisies. I might have a go at making them in felt and seeing if this works any better!

NEW WEDDING CARDS
Seen as a few people I have spoken to at fairs have been enquiring about wedding cards, decided to make a few (which will be on sale at my next fair). I experimented a bit as well with different coloured threads for the flowers, rather than just black thread. Shall see how they go, if well might start sewing more flowers in colour!

KRAZY KUPCAKES
I bought these at the craft fair on Saturday from Kirsty Mckelvey, who runs a company called Krazy Kupcakes and they are fabulous! Not only do they look good but they taste great as well. They got the seal of approval from my father who said 'they taste as if they are home-made'. At first, perhaps not a great compliment but I think Dad hit bang on, they were lovely and moist and just tasted great, like the cakes your mum would make! Check our her Facebook page and website: http://www.facebook.com/krazykupcakes, http://www.krazykupcakes.co.uk/.

GREAT ECCLESTON SHOW
I entered a few pieces into the handicraft section at Great Eccleston Agricultural Show which was on today and yesterday. If you went, hope you enjoyed it- I did! And the good weather certainly helped. I had a really enjoyable day and as it turned out, won a few things for the pieces I entered. Thank you so much to the judges! I won a first and second prize and 'The Card and Craft' trophy and 'Supreme Exhibition' trophy (hence the rosette). So very happy! Well done to all the other exhibitors as well, the standard was really high and there were some lovely quilts and cushions and pottery on display. So many talented people in the local area!
CRAFT FAIR YESTERDAY
Went to my second craft fair of the year yesterday. Was a lovely day and a good old natter! Thank you to everyone who stopped to have a look at my work- lots of useful feedback and comments which was great. I will keep you updated on my next fairs- August is going to be a busy month!

SHEEP JAM JAR PIN CUSHION
Made these yesterday, partially as I fancied making them and partially as I want to enter them in Great Eccelston Show this weekend. Hopefully the weather will hold and it will not be a complete washout! I especially like the mini jar for keeping my little dress pins in.

WEDDING TABLE PLAN
This is a commission I have been working on for the last few days. A table plan for a wedding, in a similar style to my usual work but keeping the colours gentler and less detailing so it didn't look too busy or over-crowded. I think it looks great now it is in the frame!
